Drunk driving should be legal, it's no more dangerous than driving tired. All drugs should also be legalized

Look, studies have shown that just about everything on Earth is bad for you in some way or another. Since some folks here want to legislate every imaginable aspect of life, why not just ban disease? That's how ridiculous this is getting.

still not on my computer...but I will post a link soon...I was honestly shocked to how far and how deep the lies went. I did further research on the EPA and found many states like California filing class action suits for other false reports made by the EPA...apparently...someone in the EPA believes they are God and can decide what we can and can not do.

It has already opened the door for droves of idiots who want to ban things..simply..because they don't like them. I found a website of groups trying to ban things in public. On the list is cologne and soap among other things...you think smoking is bad...you just wait until the whole country has BAD B.O.!!!

end the lies now people before you have lost every right you ever had...

here's a little known fact...I'm not on my computer or I'd post the article. All the EPA, CAL-EPA and NICH(?) reports you read about and that are refered to in all the Anti-Smoking websites, you know, the ones that say second hand smoke is dangerous?? Guess what? They were faked...not only were they faked...they are all the same report used over and over by the EPA. These reports used by Anti-smoking wing nuts to destroy other peoples rights...were in fact thrown out by the Supreme Court in 1993...resubmitted in 1997...and thrown out again for falsified information. So the name has been changed to NICH(or whatever) and used as yet even more evidence second hand smoke is bad. Here is the funny part...there is not one test in the WORLD who has proved second hand smoke is bad.

Further...all the bar owners who work in smoky bars and waiters and such...a test shows in a busy bar, that after one year a person inhales enough second hand smoke to = 6 whole cigarettes!!! 6!!!! Oh too much? Considering you inhale about 1,000 times that from car emissions...you may want to ask yourself...why have you been lied too?

Also did you know a person is 450 times more likely to die of cancer caused by rice pudding then they are of second hand smoke?

I will find all of this data and post just as soon as I find...you'll be very surprised where I got this data...hint it begins with Supreme and ends in Court. Wink

I live in Greeley, Colorado where the citizens, in the past election passed legislature that bans smoking in all public establishments. For example, bars, restaurants, bowling alleys, etc. In my opinion, this is a good law. America must continue to allow all of its citizens to make choices regarding their own well-being, however, that right must not interfer with this same right of others. The public smoking ban is a good idea because it protects the health and safety of others. But to make smoking illegal, as echoed by JusticeConservativism, will be no more successful than prohibition was. The simple problem is that we, as human beings, need to start taking responibility for our actions and the detrimental effects they may have on ourselves and others. The Tabacco companies have done their part to raise awareness, now it falls on us to take that information and apply it.

What makes America great is that it gives each of its members the ability to make choices (JusticeConservativism will probably immediately reply that free-market capitolism is what makes America great, but that isn't the point here). It is my belief that if someone wants to do something harmful and destructive to their body, they should be allowed to do so. In fact, I'm tempted to get started down the whole fat-people-suing-McDonald's road, but I won't.

However, if someone is doing something that not only damages themselves but damages other people, something has to be done. I have heard a lot of conflicting reports regarding the damage of secondhand smoke, and I would look up the most recent one if I weren't a lazy, lazy man. But if secondhand smoke is as dangerous as it was once (and maybe still is) projected to be, then restrictions on smoking need to be placed on our society. Smoking should be limited to the confines on one's home, special smoking rooms in larger buildings, or the outside, open air. In fact, there are lots of perfectly safe places (safe for those around you, that is) to smoke. Let's keep smoking to those places.

I think smoking should be illegal! why you wonder?well because everytime some1 smokes other people get effected from it as well as the ones who do it because of 2nd hand smoke, and personally I dont think we all should have to suffer for someone elses mistakes. Plus its just killing everyone and making people sick so what is the point of having them?To suffer? If u wanna comment on this or anything else im me at mamaboricua765

Wingless: Don't you understand the concept of "sarcasm?" It's pretty obvious to most people I wasn't being serious.

Oh yes, of course it should be illegal. After all, we all know the resounding success prohibition had on Alcohol, and that the Drug War really has gotten everyone off pot, crack, etc.
