in the current stae of our nation people who once united under false patriotism now are beginning to seperate again.personally this disgusts me.after so many americans died from those attacks people are forgetting completely about it. that issue kind of makes me want to be reactionary.take american back to its roots.make us a state concentrated real democracy like the founding fathers wanted us to be.i think we need to restore america back to its beautiful self. a country where as long as your not breaking the law the government isnt involved and they really practice laissez faire.anybody wanna join me?

Count me in.
But, first thing we must do above all is expel, stop funding and abolish any or all United Nations programs, departments, agencies and fire every single UN employee who also gets paid by American taxpayers.
Until then, this country will be imploaded.

Although I certainly don't think people should forget 9/11, I also don't think we should dwell on it like some people do...or keep using it as a justification for crappy policies and trying to keep people paranoid enough to support said policies like the current administration has been doing.
I agree that this country needs a major overhaul, politically, socially and culturally, but that can only happen if people stir themselves from their media-induced, consumer-driven stupor. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening any time soon. I don't think people should just give up, though. I think change can best be made at a grassroots level.
As for the supposed 'good old days' of America, I really can't think of any point in our history that's been ideal. I think the best thing to do is look forward, not go backwards.

Sign me up. I'm not exactly sure about total laissez faire, but things have become too bloated and convoluted. I started to reconsider my major after my first semester of college, and a career in politics is looking more and more appealing. I see so much that is done wrong on both sides. We need some sort of revitalization. Someone needs to be the next Teddy Roosevelt.
