I agree; the media was all over Martha Stewart and her trial, I believe it should have been declared a mistrial.

Martha stewart has been victimized by the media to an insane degree. I really don't give a **** about her personal business, no one else should either, and confettikiss is 100% correct.

i dont even think she is gonna serve her sentence. she is gonna keep appealing until she has her way. it was a loss but she should just serve it and get it over with. itll go by like that.

No, I think her sentence was fair. Her trial has been overexposed. If it was anyone else, not a rich successful woman, the public wouldn't even notice such stock scams. It wouldn't be fair to give someone a harsher sentence just because they're more successful.

i think she just got it for lying to investigators. well she wouldnt have had to lied to them in teh first place if they werent accusing her of false things! unfortunately if she would have just kept her stocks, they would have skyrocketed within the next few days. it is kind of a loss on her part. i think the judge showed kindness in giving her the lightest senctence but she didnt deserve it. she was targeted only because of her success.

No, she doesn't even deserve what she got. I can't beleive that she is going to jail for 5 months over some stupid insider trading thing, and that basketball player who beat and killed his wife doesn't even have to go to jail for a week. I think he deserves a life sentence, and she only deserves a heavy fine.

Of course she should have recieved harsher punishment!! She caused the loss of over 200 jobs and she lied to everyone (except herelf and the people she was doing insider trading with).
Normally, redrepublican, you have GREAT ideas! I'm a little let down. :-/

she didnt even deserve five months. so she lied to the ivestigators. she wouldnt have had to if they had been accusing her of false thigns. as it is i think its sad. she was targeted because of her success and several other things. in the really she should have kept her stocks because that drug realy does cure certain types of cancer.
