What whatshisface means by many diseases "go unrecognized by doctors", is that they have no clue what is wrong with someone. That's not a contradiction and it's not being uncaring. It's just being human. If someone complains of bizarre symptoms the doctors has never even heard of, that makes him or her uncaring?

I think that "definition" of Morgellons is inaccurate. It does not give the other range of symptoms including many neurlogical problems in these patients. This is a serious illness whether it be pyscological or not and should not be underminded in the way it has been by the CDC.

Someone posting previously contradicted theirself. They asked why would a doctor not care, it is their job. But then later in the same post said that there are many dieases that go unrecognized by doctors.

I personally feel that doctors today are just trying to make money, writing prescriptions, seeing as many patients as possible and getting their commission. There is no longer a personal touch from many physicians trying to solve what is wrong. Doctors only diagnose what they know (which is symptoms), no one will go out of the box to put all the symptoms together.

Morgellons is affecting many people and not much is being done. The CDC is dragging their butts and is not even doing anything to prove that this is "in peoples heads". If these thousands of people are all crazy, why has not one doctor even tried to prove that?

Perhaps they're dying from some other disease that isn't Morgellons. That is a possibility, albeit one you're apparently not open to.

It isn't real. I'm sorry, but morgellons is just basically a term for skin diseases that are too vague to be a distinct malady or too unimportant to be labeled.

You vastly underestimate the power of your mind. If I tell my friend everyday that she has cancer, eventually, she will believe me. People with "morgellons" are simply suffering from a skin disease they (or their doctor) can't pinpoint.

Why did it get on the news? Because it's so controversial 'cos it's barely a disease and yet people believe they're dying from it.

Seriously, have you ever heard of people not caring? because if you have not, your a very lucky person. and if it wasnt legit or serious how would it get on primetime live? but dont tell me how my dad died. i was there. and i saw all the symtoms and i saw it killing him day by day.ok but you said its their job to care? but some people dont do their job. and if someone did do their job. alot of people would be alive. if someone cared. but i get what your saying, and im not going to be mean . ill just be your best friend. but all im saying is its real and you shouldnt judge things before you live them. but its not just on the skin , because i know people who have nothing wrong with their skin but they are sure they have it because its not just in their skin. the people at abc failed to say something about that. it affects your mind , your overal heath.

Seriously, why would the doctors not care? First off, the Hippocratic Oath says they have to. Second, it's their job. They get paid to heal people. Why would they shrug it off if they were convinced it wasn't anything serious?

You say your dad died from this "disease." My consolations. But do you know for sure this is what killed him? Or might it have been something else? There are many diseases in the world, and a great deal often go unrecognized by doctors or assumed to be something else.

well i think people suffer from it and doctors dont care about it or even try to understand anything about it, did you know people die from it ? like my dad . people like you who think that are really the crazy ones. and wtf who wants to brag about a rare skin disease, thats even more crazy, well i was just wodering what people thought about it. and you should know , that its not just skin, its effects everything. the little thing on primetime live made it seem crazy . but if its affects are so much more than just some weird looking scab. it affects their whole life and its not just the skin btw, reseach it buddy.

Doesn't look any more or less interesting than your average disease. Well, except for the bit where it might not be real. I think some people think too highly of their self-diagnosis and simply refuse to accept that it's nothing more than an average skin disease. Secretly, I think everyone wants to have some rare disease just so they can brag.
