That's screwed up. The parents should be the one's to implement the "cookie is a sometimes food" rule. Parents need to stop blaming the cartoons and things for their childrens problems... raise your darn kids yourselves and take responsibility!

I completely agree with you. Also, why does it really matter if Cookie Monster is going on a diet? First off, he's just a puppet. Secondly, he's not giving up cookies completely. I don't get it. Cookie Monster has been promoting healthy eating and moderation since I was watching Sesame Street (1988-2004). By the way, and this one is especially for nina, I don't think any kids actually mimicked Cookie Monster's bad habit and thought of him as a role model. And if they did, the parents should be stepping in, not a broadcasting company. And that's our problem America, we wanna make babies, but to hell with 'em once they "pop out"!
