On another note, my opinion is that depression is more genetic than anything, like other disorders. But there is a difference between true clinical depression and the depression taking over the lives of teenagers today. The poor-me attitude is nothing more than a result of their own laziness to change their situation. I know people who have killed themselves because of their girlfriend, and those that have killed themselves because they were manic depressive and thought there was no other choice.

I understand the latter and don't respect the former. Sometimes there isn't a choice. And sometimes there is but people are too stupid to realize it. And that is when they deserve to die.

Obviously, music and TV or movies were blamed for his suicidal thinking. But it wasn't that. The mom said the kid just spend all the time he had locked up in his room alone with no music, internet, nothing.

Like suicide was a natural thought for him.

Anything can be found when it's scrutinized and looked for. Apparently, our society's definition of "depression" is being expanded, which I think is stupid and quite sad.
