I know that when you have a disease, and you are going through hard times, even when you aren't, it is always a great help to have someone there that really understands. People try to understand, but if they don't suffer from that disease, no matter how hard they try, they can never fully understand. I have had diabetes for 14 years and know how frustrating it can be, especially as a teenager. So if you need to talk, or just to have someone listen, this would be the place to do so. Smile I hope you are all doing well.

I know a diabetic girl...and I have three diabetic uncles...and a diabetic great-grandfather...and I've babysat for a family plagued with diabetes. (Was that one rough, and then I had to nearly have a heart attack, because one of them needed milk, because of the amount of glucose in it, and the amount of glucose in his system, but was lactose intolerant as well. So, I had to call the parents and stuff, and go "WHAT THE HECK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?!)

The girl I know, she's sort of going through hard times, and I think that she's adding diabetes to her pity plea, but I guess all I can do is support her. I've just been trying to be a friend to her about it.

Just because nobody understands you, that doesn't mean you're artistic.

Diabetes sucks. You cant have a lot of sugar (like cookies and candy) and you have to poke yourself everyday. And it leads to other health problems.Insilin makes me cringe. When i got tested for it the doctor took all this blood out of me and it kind of looked like he took too much. I mean, blood is supposed to stay in your body.

Thanks Smile since being diagnosed I have learned that knowledge is power. When you know about diabetes and understand it somehwat, and understand how it effects you you can control it, rather than letting it control you. I learned that the hard way, and I want to be sure that peole suffering from diabetes can take control as soon as they can and that they know that someone will always be there.

I don't have diabetes but my best friend has had it for four years now so I know a lot about it and what it does to people.

I just have to say that I think it is great that you are offering to help others with diabetes becasue when my friend was diagnosed, I had never really heard of diabetes and didn't know what to say to her when she needed me.
Smile
