bauhaus, can you say "stereotypes"? Anyway, you did bring up a good point (in your slangy-type way) that people would continue to have sex if there was a cure to HIV/AIDS and possibly create new mutations and/or pass on the virus so that every living human being would eventually happen. (Luckily, global warming will have open the atmosphere and the human civilization would be close enough to extinct by then.) And I've got sources saying the same thing:

And although Jamaica may be annoying, she has a right to post her opinions. From the American Red Cross website: "Today, having sex with a person who has HIV is the most common way that teenagers become infected with the virus." That means you only have to have penetrative sex once. Sure, with every partner you increase your risk, but once is enough.

Oh and yogore, would you mind explaining virotherapy? I'm searching it online, and frankly, nothing much is coming up on it.

Middle ages?Spanish Influenza killed about 20-40 million people during 1918 and 1920.
I'm surprised it wasn't well known among many people.I didn't know about it either,until I watched a show about the SARS breakout.

Virotherapy may prove to be a cure for AIDs. Currently it's being tested as a cure for cancer, but it may be developed to work on AIDs aswell.

Look you are not going to get aids if you are white and a male, or even a chick. Maybe if you are having bloody cornhole sex. But ff you live in ohio some place you chances are nill. Africa and Ohio are not the same.

And if there is a cure for aids I bet you people will be having sex in the streets.

No, she should jsut join a nun covent (sorry if this is the wrong word), and seclude herself for eternity to pray; no other purpose seems put for her on the face of the Eart. Except to remind me to take anger management classes or exercises, of course.

Jamaica I think you need to stick to the religous boards.... it seems that your resources for news are a little short probably limited to nuns and preachers, and they can be a little one sided at times. Plus you get on everybody's nerves.

#1: Some of you thought I was a guy- no I'm a 15 year-old girl...and maybe you thought that girls can't be ambitious...
#2: Soil may contain the cure for the AIDS virus...or maybe something in it ( not EXACTLY soil).
#3: It is important to find a cure, because many people are very irresponsible. Every few seconds, a new person is diagnosed with AIDS...
#4: AIDS might be indestructable...I'm sure God can allow nature to do that...NOTHING is impossible

Okay...I don't pretend to be any sort of viral expert but this is what I do know. AIDS starts out as HIV and someone can be living with it for many years before ever seeing any effect which means they could be spreading it unintentionally. You dont have to be overly permiscuous to get the HIV virus, all it takes it a one night stand with a carrier, who may or may not know they have been infected. Don't think that just because your significant other hasn't told you that they may be sick or if they dont look sick that they don't in fact have HIV. Oral sex is no safer in this case then sexual intercourse and condoms do not make any difference. Also, another big misconception is that HIV is only spread through sexual contact...sharing dirty needles or any kind of blood contact may be deadly too. And you might want to check me on this but I don't think it is actually AIDS that kills...because AIDS and HIV weaken your immune system, if you get something even as minor as the flu or a cold, it can be fatal. I know all this is scary, but unfortunately till a cure is found we are living in a world where we must take all this to heart. Never underestimate the value of occasional blood testing with your significant other or if you are sexual active. Okay well that is my PSA for tonight!

I have never heard anything about th common cold being fatal. Maybe to somebody who is already ill, like Queen Elizabeth, which is how she died, but not to somebody like a farmer or a knight, who have to be physically strong.
