Men's Health article I am quite surprised there isn't anything up for this in Global Health. The title stands for itself pretty well, but what are your concerns about the Avain flu? Do you think it has the ability to become the next Spanish flu?

No, it is not likely to become any more than what it already is. A new strain of the flu arises and is discovered every year. I think we should be more worried about obesity and weight-related issues, which are the true epidemics in this country. No one seems to realize that all their fat ass foods cause them the problems in the first place. You all worry more about getting Avian flu from too much chicken than getting heart disease from too much cholesterol.

A girl at my shool asked me the other day what the bird flu was.... How ignorant. She said it was because she doesn't have a TV, but I said I don't either, I just read the news. She had no reply. Moron.

Well, IQ scores are on a normal curve. I think I'm getting rid of the lower half. 80 and lower, perhaps. But it isn't just an IQ exam. Because there are geniuses that are seriously bad individuals. So, they go. I'm creating the exam. You take it at 21. Chances are that the mentally handicapped did not survive the apocalypse. Otherwise, they're put in schools where they learn valuable skills tailored to their strengths. And they work like everyone else.

Aww... What's the going rate for people with low IQ scores? And what is low? And what about (literal) mentally handicaps?

Lol, would you also have no national military and an economy based on international gambling problems? I jest. My society's a utopia because I kill stupid people. (I can't be killed because I run it. Otherwise I'd be toast.)

I have a whole civilization I'm building when the apocalypse comes. It's sweet. I was in a diner with a couple friends of mine and we talked about it extensively for about three hours. Because we're geeks. One day I'll write a book about it. It's hilarious.

True. It would be pretty sickening to see all this death around you, but to live through it? That would be amazing.

I'm not particularly afraid of death either, it's almost like an adventure. But an apocolyptic plauge is no fun if you don't live through it. You know, to carve out your own little piece of civilzation from the aftermath and rule like a king. No really, exactly like a king because the standard of living will be near medieval conditions .

heh. I agree FML. I don't think christians should be afraid of death, but that's not for this thread so I'll stop. I have heard about the potential for avian flu to mutate and become the next human pandemic. Which makes you more likely to get it. Young males are most prone to die from the strain apparently.
