Its costly, harmfull to the enviorment, and painful for the living to watch. I'd unplug.

Pain or not I know neither of my parents would want to remain alive in a vegetative state. We've actually talked about it. My mom doesn't have a living will or anything like that but I know what she would want me to do. It would definitely be the hardest decision I ever had to make though.

If they were in pain, then yes, I would unplug. I could never stand the thought of my parents being in pain and not being able to control it.

Well, I think my parents have a living will, so they will have to unplug them after a certain time. The misery they would have to go under to keep alive is horrible. My grandfather went like that. He just kept living and living, but there was no rejuvination, and he was almost braindead. We finally told him that it was ok to go. Sometimes things like that are all for the best...

to live in misery like that is just horrible. i believe the right thing to do would be to pull the plug. it isnt murder like those against it claim. it just doesnt involve the same intentions, i think its unreasonable for a vegetable to be kept alive if they're suffering all the time. i know if i was a vegetable or braindead, or suffering every waking moment, i would rather die. its a peaceful death.

The whole 'I don't want to be kept alive by machines' is the way my family basically thinks. That said, if there was no chance of recovery, I'd probably have the doctors pull the plug.
