What are the good points of masturbating? Some may say that, masturbation allows a healthy way to express and explore one's sexuality and to release sexual tension and desire without the risks of having sexual transmitted diseases by sexual intercourse. On the other hand, it might reduce the rate of rape cases too as it might reduce the sexual urges among men. Besides, masturbation in males can help to flush out old sperms with low motility from the male's testis. So, more fresh sperms are contained in the next ejaculation, thus higher chances of achieving conception during intercourse.

However, if masturbation becomes a habitual activity and the person is driven to do it at certain times each day, it might encourage masturbation to be taken place even in public places. Wouldn’t it be disgusting if someone masturbates in front of you when you walked pass him or her? More over, masturbation for men is also known to drain the calcium in our body causing pains in the bones and fatigue in the legs. To some religion, masturbating is a sin as we are regarded as “throwing our seeds” Most religious groups have condemned masturbation too, claiming that it inhibits self-control and it constitutes a grave moral disorder.

Yes, it is absolutely acceptable. We live in a society where we allow religion and gov't to dictate how we live both in private and in public. Neither groups should have any influence on the choices we make for ourselves. Nocturnal emission is natures way of purging "old seed", masturbation is manual purging. doesnt matter which method u use. It is natural an is a choice for yourself. a catholic priest in a confessional booth answered a question for me when i was a teen. I asked him if it was wrong to masturbate...he said "Son, if it were wrong, God would not have made your arms long enough" we laughed together. Is this relevant to life? How many times do you see ppl jacking off in public? How many cases of death by masturbation have you heard of?

I don't think men masturbating will reduce the rate of rape because men don't rape just because their horny, they do it because they have power issues.

"Its normal for males"?! What females who maturbate are some sort of social freak show? It is prefectly normal for BOTH men and women to masturbate. In fact it is healthy. I think masturbation is great. Its a great gift that we have been given, and although some may laugh at that, its something i strongly believe in. I think i speak for most everybody when i say that finding somebody masturbating in a very public place, such as a mall or town is not good. Masturbation is perfectly fine & healthy as long as it doesn't control the lives of those doing it. I like to hope that most have more self control than that but hey, you never know. I think that men & women alike should, regardless of religion, masturbate at least twice a week to relieve the body of built up sex hormones that until released can caused discomfort & other health problems. They say that 1 in 6 men gets prostate cancer, possibly due to semen build up. I say 1 in 6 men doesn't masturbate enough. Come on people! Do it with yourself for your health!

Anyone who already has. I always thought it was part of growing up. It's natural to experiment with yourself, although I suppose everyone has their limits. But considering the pleasure that can be derived through stimulation of your genitals, I do find it odd that people really find it that disgusting.

I've actually had a bit of wrestling with this for the past few weeks (basically, tons and tons of research), and I've come to a conclusion. Masturbation isn't going to drag us to Armageddon any quicker.

After all the research I've done, I've found a couple of things.

1. The only people who say anything bad about masturbation, are those who belong to some religious sect.

2. The only people who masturbate to unhealthy limits, are probably have larger problems then masturbation itself.

3. The majority of complications that arise from masturbation, don't come from the act itself, but the fear of the act itself. (I.E. God is going to punish me, we're going to have bad luck, etc.)

4. Exploring, including masturbation in public, is natural. Most people like taking risks anyway.

Masturbation is happy.
Masturbation is fun.
It's not going to make your johnson fall off, or make your kitty up and die.

It's just a normal thing.

For starters in my experience women have just as much sexual urge as men, if not more. Masturbation is perfectly natural. Of course i do believe in the phrase "Too much of any good thing is bad" and plus i doubt your gonna find people waling down the street masturbating (i think you've seen Borat one too many times lol)
