What do you think of the youth and the women who are being affected by the Malaria and HIV/AIDS pandemic?

Should not we join our hands and make a big and bigger noise

Actually the pharmaceutical companies use that as a coverup for themselves. Believe it or not, they're not humanitarians. They're all in it for the money- which means they're only going to look for drugs that treat it. Just like cigarettes, they're going to look for something that, while they're alive, they're going to be dependent on it. They discovered this back in the eighties by doing projections... I did a senior project on it, but I don't have the research with me at college. And most companies, if a cure is found, would force them into submission (to be quiet, not publish findings, etc.) It's very sad. And the idea of a vaccination has come up of course, but pharmaceutical companies (similarly) won't research it for financial reasons. Plus, biologically, then the possibility of a super-HIV comes up (if HIV was transmitted to someone with the vaccine and for whatever reason the virus mutated to become a "superbug".

The sad thing is that ebola makes both of them look like a cold, but yes in general all hemorhagic feveres and anything the screws with immune system is very bad indeed. I also think that a cure for AIDs is closer than we think. While we can't cure it perhaps we can destroy it. I know your all thinking "destroy it? amp your off your rocker" but I'm not nanotechnology is advancing at a tremendous rate and it's primary application is going to be medicen. Imagine surgery done with a shot instead of cutting someone open or in application to viruses a swarm of nanoids moving through your system destroying the invading cells

Malaria is a tragic disease because while it kills so many, it's highly treatable and preventable.

What terrifies me about AIDS is that while it's also preventable, it's difficult to treat and there is no cure. There is so much more stigma associated with a sexually transmitted disease that there are even bigger barriers to overcome to educate the public about how to prevent it. Drugs are also much more expensive and complicated.

Malaria is a huge issue, but I think that in our lifetimes, AIDS will prove to be an even bigger health crisis for the world.
