We have designed plans for a cobalt bomb. Not saying we're going to build one.
Cobalt bombs are giant. They have a huge sphere of radioactive cobalt in them. 1 gram of cobalt is enough to coat 1 sq mile with radiation (and i mean nagasaki radiation not "let's go get an x-ray" radiation ^.^). The half-life of cobalt is almost 6 years.
Basically this means that a 4 ton cobalt bomb could destroy the US and pretty much kill everyone in it.
This potential weapon is not classified as a "weapon of mass destruction." It is in a class of its own known as "weapon of global destruction."
Now we haven't made one of these (as far as the public knows) but why do we even need to design something that is classified as a weapon of global destruction? are we trying to wipe out life on the planet?
I just don't see the need for this ridiculousness. why would we need a weapon that can just wipe out a section of the world? wouldn't that just waste so many resources? not to mention lives...
I was thinking about something I may look into.
It seems like cancer is more prevalent these days. Perhaps because people didn't know what cancer was back in the old days so it went undiagnosed.
But what if the reason was something else, what if it was because for the past 60 years people on this planet have been exploding things into the atomosphere that result in uber radiation.
I wonder if there is anyway to find out if radiation in our air has increased due to various governments testing wmd... because increased exposure to radiation can cause cancer...
lol, korea's missile was launched. it reached a distance of 2000 miles. good thing we live more than 2000 miles away. ^.^
i stand for love and peace!
