Hey everyone! I am planning for a rally in May to raise awareness about Darfur and one of the things I wanted to do was a side by side comparison of life in the United States as oppose to life in the refugee and displacement camps. I was wondering if anyone knew of an organization or an individual who has been to the Sudan or Africa and seen these conditions first hand? We are looking for things like living conditions, medicine, recreation, shelter, clothing and the sorts. Let me know ASAP if you have any information!! Thanks! I'm not sure how much help this would be, but you could try Save Darfur and DarfurGenocide.org. I'm sure they'd have information and pictures you could use. As for people you can talk to first-hand, well, that might be hard considering how humanitarian organizations aren't exactly safe in Darfur any more. But Save Darfur is probably your best bet. I've seen them all over the place, especially on my college campus.

My dad went to Kenya in the seventies. I don't know if it has changed since then, though.
