I'm starting a project to help the homeless with a few friends. I think that these people need hope and help. What do you think?

Do you have a PADS (Public Service to Deliver Shelter [or as my friend Christina would say 'People Around Da Streets']) near you?

I volunteer at one every other month. It's a system of church, synagogues, and other buildings that host about 30 homeless people a night. It gives them dinner, a sack lunch, and breakfast, as well as a place to sleep each night. It's a great way to help the homeless, and I've gotten to know some very cool people and learned a lot.

hey am working real hard on fundaraising for the homelss rite now..
jsut got 2 bands to play for us for fvree..if its possi u could do something like that to...

but i suggest before you go ask for funds have somehting concrete in mind..you should be in a position to answer all questions people put to you...
a small write up along with some pics in color mite help to make people see what you are doing..

Sounds like a good idea, but people might not be willing to give.
You could get your whole school involved and do a crazy hat day, hold a school play (they are ALWAYS fun) triva nights, talent quest, cook pancakes to raise some money.

Get your school involved. My friend and I are in the middle of a project similar to that, but with the profits going to St. Jude's Hospital instead, and our principle, VP, and SCA and PTA are all as excited as we are!

You can get SO many more people involved that way!

For my project i'm collecting money to make shelters safer and collecting food and clothing to send to chrurches in bigger cities to spread it. Have any other ideas tell me! thanks guys
