Now I'm in VA, but I'm from New Orleans. I miss my home, my friends, the car, my pictures, all that stuff u think is gonna be there when u go back. I evacuated, but it's been so hard finding my friends that stay there. One of my friends was thought dead until we saw him on tv at the Astrodome. It's so unreal because we've lost everything so suddenly. I left about 2 days before Katrina and didnt really know it was coming, so me and my ma hardly packed. Now I'm at Hampton University and can't afford books because my ma is now unemployed. I guess I decided to write just because it didnt look liek anyone from New Orleans had written yet. I dont watch the news anymore because it's depressing and it gives a bad picture of my city to the world and it also makes me sad, but I'm doing pretty good... gotta keep busy, ya know? But sometimes u just gotta write about it. I'll post me and my friend Elijah's story on another post cuz i know this is already a lot -keah

Some of my close friends are hurricane victims!! Really, short_brat you cause too much crap and you're mean. quote: Yeah. How would you feel if you lost everything in a hurricane, including you're "hard-core, thuggish, black boyfriend" that you keep bragging about as if someone cares? Would you just suck it up and stop crying? I don't think so.
If you're selfish enough to complain about someone else liking your boyfriend and actually have the nerve to tell someone who has lost more than we know to "suck it up", you haver gotta be a real *****. No offense to anyone else.

Well you, short_brat, you don't have to be so rude or revive old threads.

Freedom and the rest of ya, leave the newbies alone. We were once in their shoes. I admit, sometimes I get carried away with someone being a newbie but just take it easy on 'em. Wait till they get enough posts and enough smarts about 'em and then go in for it because then they'll be like us.

I am from Mississippi and our lights were off for like I think 7 days. We were so happy. I just thank God no trees fell, hardly any branches. Our house is in a lower area so we had it pretty good. God Bless You! Stay Strong! Me and God Love you!

As I said, in that case anyway, I doubt Katharine Hpeburn would say it...

What pond are you referring to? Golden? Because I highly doubt Katharine Hepburn would be caught bordering cursing. Wait, yeah she would - that's why she started wearing pants! Silly me!
