I am a victim of hurricane Katrina, I live in Mississippi in I used to live in a small town called Waveland, well Waveland isn't there anymore it's come and gone with the tides. It somewhat makes me mad when we first got hit by Katrina and all CNN was talking about was New Orleans. Well everyone can't see it first hand but please see that Mississippi needs help too, I'd say we got the worst blow about a dozen cities or more gone. I don't mean damaged I mean gone, like there' nothing else exept concrete slabs. Please Please help if you can.

I have a pretty hard life but its ok if you can deal with ur parents fighting and everything. its ok now,but i'm in a long distance relationship with someone i've known for 6 years, and without him i can never feel the same again .I feel really sorry for all the hurricane victoms out there especially 4 mississippi. I'm doing a speech on homelessness and i feel rally sad 4 them. i mean some of them can have a really nice personality.Take my step dad 4 instince he was homeless since hewas 12 years old!! i'm only 14 and i have alot of experience with homeless people & they can be really fun. anyway i need my old life back.

This may seem abit extreme. But that IS what you mean when you say "everythin in our power". Words are important. Don't get me wrong, I'm not perfect, far from it. But "if you say something, mean it."

Well it just goes to show you: the media can't be trusted to tell the truth (the whole truth, and nothing but the truth). It's corporate. It's twisted. But I'll keep you in mind and try to help out.

P.S. Judging someone for saying "y'all" is so shallow. I don't particuarly like the word myself, but I don't think anyone who says it isn't worth my time.

This is why I believe CNN is evil. They are not interested in the people they are interested in money and making prophet. I was actually thinking of people that aren’t in New Orleans when, CNN and what have you, media was talking about the New Orleans area. Take this tragedy and put it into a miracle. Help people out!!! And your life no matter what people say will be enriching. Then realize what a great opportunity you have to help people. Guess what FEMA can’t even do that.

Hey, thanks for relizing that the media is just showing one side of the story, the smaller side, but a side none the less. But, do not say I'm complaing because I'm not, I'm just asking people to remember Mississippi. I know it's life, hunny, and I'm not asking you to feel sorry for me, I have never in my life wanted anyone to feel sorry for me. And just because life knocked me down for a while doesn't mean I'm gonna start now. And no all of my family members aren't alive, I lost an aunt to Katrina,
and I am counting my blessings every day. So I want to thank you from the bottem of my heart for putting your opinion on the matter, cause that's what youthnoise.com is about, rigt?

realise that one sided ness is specialty of the media's. It always happens tht way:exaggerate one side of the story and forget the other side altogether... Yeah, so it's sad that this had to happen to you, but it's just life, sweet heart, and until someone, by some miracle of God, decides that your side of the situation should be told, it won't be.

But count your blessings: you're alive and your loved ones are. Don't start complaining just yet, this year is not done yet, and consequently, neither are your problems.
