I like the idea of a win-win situation. Both Dee and Natasha have given examples of creating jobs revolving around feeding the poor, or in teaching/providing them means to feed themselves.

Also, Dee's point in wastefulness is important to note. As someone who was overweight and then lost it all through conscious living, I realized that most of us eat waaaay more than we need. Perhaps if we simply ate what we needed to survive and thrive, rather than use food to make ourselves feel better, there would be plenty of food to the feed the hungry.
