I think its funny that we have a seperate discussion for the Americas but for the entire history of Europe, Africa and Asia they just blobbed it together. As American's I feel we are very behind in world history/culture. I wish people cared more about this.

Well other countries (and I mean high powered ones) know our history better than the average American. I just find that our self-absorption at this stage is a little ridiculous. I wish we could just go back to being the land of the free and appreciating it rather than just exercizing all of our privileges on a daily basis. I wish we didn't take so much for granted.

If this site was located in country X I guarantee that it would have a separate area for national history and then "everywhere else"
