The Romanov's were a powerful bloodline to the Russian tzar's. There downfall took place just after the February Revolution when the immediate family of Nicholas II were put under house arrest. In the following days the family would be shot and killed.
In 1991 these bodies were exhumed for DNA testing. In this process scientists found out that two bodies were missing. A Russian scientist believed these two family members were Maria, and Alexei. American Scientists used Dental records to prove that the two that were missing were actually Anastasia, and Alexei. No one can prove to this day what happened to them.
To get to the point do you think that there is a possibility that the bloodline still exists.

But they found the burned remains of a young girl and a young boy close to where the Romanov's were buried... soooo yeah...

But I do have to say that the movie Anastasia was one of my favorite childhood movies.

the romanov's were killed but some people think the tsar to be and Anastasia might have lived.
the 1997 movie is great but innacurate but i guess it makes the movie to have a happy ending it is based on a speck of hope that the royal bloodline managed to survive.

I didn't mean for my post to seem sarcastic, I was just amazed b/c I had never heard that version of the story. Then again I've never looked it up either.

If Disney had made Anastasia by following the facts, then less people would pay attention to the penis on the cover of the Little Mermaid VHS cover. lol

wow, really, i took a class on this when i was like 11 at the science center. do you want to know why they didn't find their bodies but they found the others?

they picked the two smallest bodies to "test burn," realized that it took wayyy too long and just buried the rest.

case solved.

damn i'm good

This is a mystery that has remained unsolved for decades. I highly doubt that a random selection of kids on the internet will solve it.

So unless someone comes forward with any ideas. I would say this Case is closed Unsolved. This makes me terribly sad so someone speak up. Stay on topic though.

Sorry.

So have any books been helpful at all. Mine aren't saying anything we don't already know. Also what do you think happened to Dr. Knight. There is no updated info on him anywhere I have been looking.

I know this matter is confusing. Should the research club be just about the Romanov's or several other things. Where should it go. maybe we should just stay on this thread.
