I thought that link would help. It was also very entertaining.

This site has hundreds of things to read. I am starting to get confused. I need an outline, they are so easy to follow. I will keep trying though.

Carpe Diem

Yeah... I once had a history teacher who told out class that Egyptians lived in pyramids. And she refused to listen my explanation that pyramids were tombs...

Ok, then JFK assassination it is. Hasn't there been some new developments there. Sorry IG he made a very good point on Gettysburg. We can still change if you like.

I think its cool you teach yourself IG. I would love that. Especially when history teachers get the facts wrong.

where are you in history?

Well, I have done Iowa history, American history, and a bunch of World History - mostly ancient stuff. At one point I studied all of the historical landmarks in our town. But for next year, since history is not a requirement freshman year at the high school, I just get to learn about whatever interests me. I'll just play it by ear.

wha? explain

I'm homeschooled. And since I'm 14, I basically just pick the textbooks - they're called teaching textbooks - and teach myself the material. So therefore, I am my only history teacher. If you have any questions about it, I have a thread about homeschooling in School and Education. Smile

wha? explain

I'd love to do the JFK assasination/conspiracy there's a lot that doesn't add up these

Gettysburg isn't actually haunted, the funny feeling people get there is the echo of all the emotion that the men who fought there felt and the echo continues in the hearts of those who carry the standards of the battle. That's why the area around picket's charge is so powerful emotionally there's so much emotion invested in it
The soldier sightings there (seeing confeds or yanks walking about) are combination of re-enactors seen through the mist and our hearts giving shape to the emotion surrounding that area

So is it Gettysburg. What will we research the reports that it is haunted. That place does give you a funny feeling. Especially around the area of pickets charge.

We could continue with the Romanov's. I think we might have Hit a road block though IG.

Yeah, I think you're right on that one...

Conspiracy is fun...and battlefields would be interesting too. Then our research club could take a field trip to Gettysburg!

So what should we research?

We could pick a battlefield. Gettysburg is pretty spooky.

We could continue with the Romanov's. I think we might have Hit a road block though IG.

We could look into assassinations of presidents, generals, and any other powerful person.

We could look into a conspiracy.

Any Ideas. What should we do.

So you really only read or listen to siblings trying to play an instrument, or trying to care for the daredevils!

Basically. Today I am running a summer school. It will keep them occupied and be very educational. Maybe we will learn about Iwo Jima.

Anyway, back on topic...
