I've always enjoyed chivalry. It's one of the first things that bring my attention to a guy.
*cough*cough* But anyways, let's get back on the subject. And I agree with Euterpe.

As long as the chivalry isn't demeaning you get no complaints from me. But opening a door is fine. I open doors for people too.

About the same thing happened to my dad. He was holding a door for this lady, and then she says, "I don't need help from any MAN."

Of course, then when the feminists inspected my brother's school because the boys were being sexist to the girls (very small school. sixteen students) He was let off Scott-free, because the girls all said, "Oh no. He's completely chivalrous. He's never creepy or sexist." The feminists got mad at the girls for being desensitised by his "wool-pulling chivalry."

BOYS DON'T EVER LET GO OF CHIVALRY. IF A BOY DOESN'T SHOW A CERTAIN AMOUNT CHIVALRY, I WILL NEVER WASTE A SECOND DATE ON HIM. CHIVALRY=RESPECT OF WOMANHOOD.

Actually, I think that these feminist beliefs are talking about how women still get treated unfairly. They don't hate men, but rape is still happening all over the world and it's usually men raping women. (You want me to get a statistic?) I don't think this issue is really simple. Everybody does have their own opinions.

ok terpe, we are in complete agreement on everything about feminism, except how to spell a word... can we just move past that? I'm no more radical and man hating than you or any other 3rd wave feminist. I believe in equality, and i believe that language shapes reality. Can we move beyond that please? I won't make you spell my way if you won't make me spell your way. We can both still be right...

and language changes... there are many "bastardizations of words" that are now excepted. Language is fluid, and we must take steps to change it in order to change reality. Or atleast that's what I believe.

I'm not saying that all feminists are like this but they are out there.

Some of us understand, Euterpe.
You can't say we're all idiots. Well, you can. But you'd be wrong.

Okay. Why can't anyone on this goddamn forum understand something so simple?

The feminist movement is not about anti-male rhetoric or the removal of males from parts of society. It's about creating equality in EVERY aspect of life.

Let me put it this way: The Christian initiative is to spread the word of Christ to those who have not heard it, or do not accept Christ as their savior. The RADICAL or Conservative Christian movement is to irradicate all non-believers and force all to belong to Christian values.

The feminist movement is what I stated before. The RADICAL feminist movement is to irradicate all males from their positions and fill the world with "womyn" and blahdy blah.

Listening to the radical feminists is as destructive as listening to the radical Christians. You don't judge Christians by the words of the radicals, so why judge feminism by its radicals?

Now. Feminists (not the radical bastards bitches) must be involved in the abortion issue. It's an issue that affects women, however you're right, it needs a lot of support outside of them.

As a "womyn" I agree. The entire feminist movement just needs to be turned around. Feminism is centered around hating men and taking rights away from men. That's just hypocritical.

The feminist movement needs to change its direction and start appealing to the average mother and wife. To do this, the feminism movement should forget about the abortion issue (let other orgs. deal with that) and focus on basic equality in the workplace. The abortion issue alienated a lot of women. The movement just needs to be about equality, nothing more. That way many men would also support the movement and the cause. Right now, the movement is too one-sided in that it has been hi-jacked by the left wing. There can and are conservative feminists, but they are alienated by the ultra-liberal agenda.

Womyn is a made-up word. It does not exist. It's a bastardization of a word. Much like "ain't."
