i see in school today that suicide is becoming a trend. there's a new clique called Emo. what is emo a very short definition for emotional i think some people just take it a little too far. :(kantazhia@aol.com

emo kids, to me, are just scene kids.

and what is a scene kid you may ask? someone who just does whatever is popular, like wearing hot topic and listening to fall out boy.

I will agree that suicide is becoming a problem in many places today, but I don't agree that because of this we should all look down upon those considered "emo". Many people may have a good reason for why they act or feel the way they do and people should not be so critical of them. Just because some losers cut themselves to get attention, doesn't mean every emo kid is just looking for attention or that they are a bad person.

around here the "emos" are the sensitive, emotional kids, a lot of whom write poetry and participate in drama. The kids who cut themselves are the ones under a lot of pressure ie. jocks, 4.0 students, student government kids.

I think a short defintion for emo is emotinal.
someone who is very sensitive.
i think the whole sterotype of all emos cutting themseleves is so untrue.
self-harm is a serious thing and everyone shouldnt just tag it on emos.
