Well, the thing says "Promote a Project", so here it goes.

I am not a good salesman, so I'll get right to the point. With supercomputers, you can do a ton of stuff. You can run mathematical equations up the ying-yang, which can wield many benefits.

Unfortunately, not everyone has the ability, to get to a supercomputer. So, someone along the line, came up with the concept of distrobuted computing.

This is where you take a bunch of minicomputers, hook them up, and make one really big computer, from a bunch of small computers. The idea is, you donate your unused processor cycles, to someone else.

You see, when your computer is running, the processor is running. It's just not being used. So, cycles are being wasted. With an distrobuted computing setting, those cycles are donated, so you can make a supercomputer.

So, I'd encourage you guys to try one of the many projects that are out there.

So. If you like the idea, and leave your computer on, unused, then I'd encourage you to download one, set it up, and customize it, and then let it run. I'm not sure if it is/will be effective, or if it will have any major results, but hey, it's 5 minutes out of your day, to do something.
