hey so i started making really cute necklaces for charity im trying to raise a lot of money about $70,000 for medical supplies to send to african villages and orphanages so i was wondering if anyone had any other ideas as to how to raise money and stuff- it could really help- im already up to about $600

that's a great idea! Keep up the good work! Might I suggest writing to some magazines like New Moon Magazine and American Girl about your cause, where a lot of people will see your idea? You'll earn a lot of money!

You should try making all sorts of jewlery! If you're gifted enough to make necklaces to raise money then try to make bracelets and earrings. and if you can't, maybe some of your friends would want to help!!! You're doing a great thing! I would love to help! And i'd also like to buy a necklace! if you could send a picture to my e~mail address that would be great!

Another thing you could do is talk to corporations, WalMart, other corps that are doing well. Sometimes, if you are planning on donating to charity, they will match whatever you earn...that would be awesome if you could get one of those sponsorships because then you would only have to come up with $35,000...just a thought...

I'm sure you already know this, from Oprah and such, but women in Africa actually cut skinny triiangles form colorful magazine clippings, tightly roll the strips, and use them as beads. Purhaps you could look into "partnering" with one of the places in Africa that does this so you could raise more money and have a direct connection. Look into e-mailing Oprah.

Ok not really that original, but... hey bake sales always raise SOME money if you can find people willing to donate food! Or you could collect recyclable goods. If there's lots of people involved, you could get kids to do household chores for $$. Like mowing lawns or cleaning houses or something. Only if you can find the right people for the job, know what I'm saying? You could charge admission to a talent show, idk how your resources are. all you need is a stage. And if someone has a sound system (??) you could do singing or something.
