This posting is in relation to the slaughter of fellow humans in the Sudan. I'm not asking you to go to a website or do anything other than read the daily news reports about it. When a half million people were slaughtered in Rwanda 13 years ago, more Americans cared about and were interested in the O.J. Simpson trial than a genocide. No, none of the killers in Sudan won the Heisman trophy. None of the victims are white, blonde California girls. They are just normal ole human beings without distinction in pop culture. If an entire village is raped, burned and run down on horseback, the least we can do is take the time to know it happened. So read page 14 of your local paper. Go to BBC news online. Go wherever, just learn about it. I know it may sound a little Kiplingish, but let's not let another genocide come and go without the west even knowing it happened.
