Hi all,

My name is Amanda Gowland, I'm a music journalist from Toronto, Ontario, now living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

After seeing Hotel Rwanda as part of the Amnesty International Film Festival, and speaking with the director, Terry George, and the subject of the film, Paul Rusesabagina, I was inspired/motivated to find something to do to help...besides joining Amnesty of course.

I'm in the midst of creating a new 'zine featuring independant bands from across Canada and the U.S. in order to highlight the genocide taking place daily in Darfur. All proceeds collected from the 'zine will go to Amnesty and Save Darfur.
