So this is my predicament. I've never really cared about graffiti before, but. . . I was at the small local park in my small hometown today and I was just hanging around. Doing what any 16 year old does on their break, swinging on the swings, hanging out with my brother on the cinderella looking pumpkin carriage and I noticed a lot of graffiti. I was reading it, and some of it was interesting, but I came across one that said "DIE FAG S NQ" which happen to be my initials at the end. I suspect that the graffiti is like, 2 years old when i got harassment like that on my webpage and in my locker. my question is, what should I do about? Should I call parks and rec and have to explain or should I just go up and cross it out? It's scratched into the chipping paint. it's really an old crappy park. Suggestions are welcome. Yea. I don't think I'll mention it. It's just kinda large and obvious compared to the others, but I wont have to talk to them after making the original complaint. "You learn about equality in the classroom but you find out about it in life" - Campus Confidential www.myspace.com/yogore

Yeah. If you pull a "concerned citizen" routine, they'll clean it up. You could always lie and mention some kid seeing it.

Well since it's so old, and there is grafitti all over the place, I'm not sure if citing the specific slur against you will have effect. If you call them up and complain that theres' grafitti all over the place, including many violent threats and slurs, and that it's "not proper for a park to have that, clean is up, <fill in more angry citizen ranting here>" it might work.
