All I do all day is hang out with my bfffe and I see all this trash everywhere in my beautiful city, and I know that GT could look much better, and all I want to do is get a trash bag and start picking all of that stupid crap up!!

I see. Well, why don't you try to find people in your community who do care about the environment like you? You could perhaps post posters around your community calling people to get together somewhere at a certain time and get organized to clean. My youth group in church use to do this when I was much younger and we use to do it every Saturday early in the morning. You should try it and see how it goes.

It's just I am getting very discouraged, because, I am vegetarian, and I care about the world, and I actully SEE whats going on in the real world.

UNLIKE my friends.
They call me a hippie, becuase whenever we are somewhere, I look around and say, "we should picck up!!"

and they just laugh. They call me a tree hugger and a "pussy" bacuase of this and because I don't eat meat..

I know they don't mean it to be hurtful, but it is very sadening. I only know 2 vegetarians in my whole town!!

So why don't you? You should consider starting a group and doing this perhaps once every one or two weeks? That way you can get started and then expanded. I know getting started is hard, but you wont really know until you try.
