Hi Everyone. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of Crohn's Disease? if not, it's Basically like an on going horrible stomach flu and there's no cure. Some kids even have to have feeding tubes to help make them better, or repeated hospitalizations. I was diagnosed about 2 years ago. I wanted to help raise money to find a cure. So i started my own organization ( www.Searchforacure.net ) and I started making blankets. I think we have sold over 300 blankets. And have raised about $3,000 for Crohn's And Colitis foundation so far. I was wondering if anyone had any idea's to help get the word out there for Crohn's and Colitis to teenagers and others? Thanks! -CrohnsGrl15

What you are doing is really great! I think that's wondeful. I don't know how to get it out more though. You should search for some foundations that award people for their community service efforts and gives them money to help. An example would be Oprah's Angel network...

Make the public more aware by spreading the word. Just talk it up at school. Tell your friends and kids you might not even know about it. Their parents may want another down confiter (sp) for the winter months. Find out how and if you can get any air time on tv. People are always getting the 15 seconds of fame somehow. I think that your cause is a worthy one of getting air time for.
