Hi, Mana_isme123. Was actually peruzing through this site and actualy joined recently i must say it is great for it brings youth all over the continet together to share there ideas. About your project, i think the best way to make impact within the communities is use youth groups that are have established themselves and train them on any issue that u have outlined. They should help out in implementing other projects that u may have in mind. MOre so u will have implemented ur ideas and involved youths in one way or the other. We YouthServe Tanzania the NGO i work with are currently doing that and lots of success have been achieved try it out. ma mail address is jeffokello2004@yahoo.com quote: Originally posted by mana_isme123: Hey all of ya'll noise makers!!! I had the same feeling you had last year and joined a community service organization in my state called "Hands on Atlanta" that is involved with numerous companies and organizations that are solely devoted to the betterment of our community in all aspects. I believe they are apart of a network called "Hands On Network", perhaps you could visit the website (handsonnetwork.org) to see if there is an organization in your state.

Well if your family belongs to a church or other religious organization, you can always start there... I am very involved with my church and because of that, I will be interviewing teens for our teen leadership team, teaching a bunch of cute 1st and 2nd graders religious ed. and training at 4 day leadership camp that fosters the development of leadership qualities in high school students. I found out that doing activites that I enjoy are t he most rewarding to others and to myself in the long run...Just pick a problem in your own community and then try to think of small things you can do to help solve them...every little thing counts, and then you may find that they start to snowball...

I'm playing off what Celtic said, which is a good idea. Get a couple of friends or you can do it buy yourself. but you to a nursing home and see if they are willing to let you visit with some of the elderly residents. If you want to become more involved ask if you can take one under your wing sort of like adopting one. I can remember when I was in sixth grade and our teachers made it the project of the whole sixth grade to adopt an elderly patient. We also did a Christmas show for them. We sang them carols and they enjoyed it.
I have not yet reached my goal, and I am not perfect. But Christ has taken hold of me. So I keep on running and struggling to take hold of the prize. My friends, I don't feel that I have already arrived. But I forget what is behind, and I struggle for wha

Do you have any friends to help you out? You've to start at least with a small group. With that, start small. Which of the three do you want to work with first? Personally, I think the elderly would do, because there is already a lot done for the others, and the elderly, well, go to a home and you'll see that some of them are near abandoned by their families. I once performed (with classmates) some traditional dances for them and it was like they'd won the lottery. They also have pretty cool stories to tell, if you are the type who likes that.
