You can't kill yourself by holding your breath.(My suggestion: but don't try killing your self you might be an exception)

On a side note, there are actually animals that can kill themselves by holding their breathe.

You cant die from holding your breathe, because once you pass out your body starts breathing again. you have no control.
You can die from cutting your wrists, if you cut down the wrist ontop of a vein chances are you'll bleed to death unless treated ASAP.

lol thats not the way i'd do it anyway. I've been wondering...can you really die by cutting your wrists? I dont believe i have ever heard of someone actually dying from it. I' sure its *possible* but could you physically do it yourself?

Just another thought - I once tried to kill myself by holding my breath. Needless to say, it did not work. I did pass out, though. Not fun.

I suggest that you don't try killing yourself by holding your breath, or by any other means. If you've hit rock bottom, you've got nowhere to go but up.

I think it's like when you're drowning - your body forces you to breath, even underwater. After you pass out, your body will take a breath unless there is something obstructing it.

You may not be able to kill yourself.. But you can fall into an a coma, the next best thing! haha. Younger.. and by younger I mean about 2 years ago I used to "pass myself out" by well.. i wont' teach anyone how but it included holding your breathe and waking up you'd find yourself looking around wondering where you were and what happened until it all came rushing back to you slowly.. but the effect was i would wake up without a care.. if i was mad i wasn't anymore.. i stopped doing that when i woke up absolutely terrified and i still don't know what over wouldn't recommend it to anyone either.. really stupid thing to do..

You would pass out and your muscles would relax, allowing you to breathe in oxygen.

There's an autonomic response to a low oxygen concentration in the blood forcing you to breath. Without assistance via ropes, etc., you can't sufficate yourself.
