Did you know that fondue was started in 16th Century Switzerland when they had a peace treaty between the different religious groups and they all got together? The Protestants brought the bread and the Catholics brought the cheese... I'm not sure if this is fact or another of those very common fondue myths, but I think it makes for a funny t-shirt anyway... "Fondue: The Catholics are bringing the cheese..." What do you all think?

Fondue is the ambrosia of the inebriated holy ones. Actually, it started out as a way for the poor to use up stale bread and hard cheese, as well as a way to boost the cheese industry.
