It sounds a lot like my last name. I also got "Fonzi" which I was very proud of.

Yes! We shall burn down our wretched society and, on it's dying ashes, cook fondue!

I've never had fondue, but I don't see how I could not like melted cheese...

As part of the YN gathering that will happen eventually, I declare a fondue party!

I ate fondue twice in my life, and only that many times because it was extremely expensive.

$100+ for one meal expensive.

But it was damn good.

If you don't own a fondue pot, you can easily improvise one by filling a saucepan with water, sticking that on a burner until it boils, and putting a metal bowl or smaller pot inside of it. I have never tried this, but I should.

I have only eaten fondue once, and it was amazing. It was at a fondue-only restaurant and for dessert they had this chocolate and marshmallow swirled fondue with grahm crackers for dipping. It was awesome.

Melt 1 tsp of butter in pan
Pour in 10 oz of white wine (pino grisio (sp?) is good)
Let it warm
Crumble 1/2 lb of Swiss cheese and 1/2 lb of Paramasan cheese
add very slowly and only a handfull at a time or it will be a weird consistance (but still taste good)
Dip peices of French bread, steamed vegetables etc.
