It doesn't bother me if women wanna be single. Personally i would rather have a husband around to help me out but that's just me. What does bug me is the single women who still decide that they're gonna have kids. If you're not gonna get married then you don't have kids it's that simple. You don't raise a child in a home with only a woman. You need a father figure for the situation to balance out. That's just unfair to the child.

uh yeah, men can stay single, but that's irrelevant to this thread. we're talking about women.

This is me! I am not worried at all. Why would I be worried? The Bible says it is ok to marry, but marraige will bring hardships, so it is better to not marry. I am one of the woman who wants to be free. It is possible to live a successful and happy life without a husband.
Actually, I have not heard of this trend at all...everyone I know is getting married or wants to get married. I just know that I sure don't. I'm going to live my life free. I have so many things I want to accomplish in my life that I wouldn't be able to do if I had a husband and kids to be accountable to. This does not mean I do not love...I love my friends very much. I also love God very much, and he is all I need. I don't need a husband to be happy.

Polls with two options generally work best when the two options represent opposing viewpoints rather than observations about the issue.
And then, as the books were told, Fina replied: "A can of worms, my dear friend? What has this to do with reason?"

quote: With divorce rates around 50%, why shouldn't women be able to take care of themselves?
Especially since there are a lot of women who haven't worked since they got married 5+ years before, who now have no job experience for the current market and are unable to get any job at all.

Perhaps you should include an option in your poll that says "I am not worried." If society can't handle women choosing to be in control of their lives...I don't know that I want to be a part of it. The same goes for a relationship with a man who feels "insecure" with a woman's self-sufficiency. I don't even mean this in any sort of femi-nazi sense. With divorce rates around 50%, why shouldn't women be able to take care of themselves?
