Iknounvme,
I know that you said that your brother was getting ready to leave to go overseas and I tried to noisemail you with this idea but do you think that you could ask your brother if there is anyway we could help and tell him what we are trying to do and see what he thinks about it?

Neanea, ask your cousin if there's any way he knows we can contact the troops.

This is a great idea, I would love to be involved with it. My cousin was in Iraq. He is home now, but the troops need our support! Count me in!

Well let's actually find a way to do this instead of just saying how great the idea is, LOL.

I think it's a great idea to stay in touch with the troops and givethem support. If you need any help just let me know!

I think you have the right idea about emailing troops. They need all the help they can get even though they know we support them.

I think that is a wonderful idea. It might just cheer up their day. I would love to be a pen pal to a soldier. It would be very interesting to talk to them.

They are already aware of the support of their fellow Americans; they need to focus on what they're at war for.

Also, the war is not their cause; rather, it's the cause of those who are not fighting.

Gemini, for the most part, the troops overseas need support from the nation they're putting their lives on the line for. Much of the country doesn't support their cause (the war), so I'm sure even a few letters would mean the world to them.

Here's a novel idea:

How about we let the troops focus on fighting instead of writing letters to bored teenagers overseas?

You can write to them when/if they return home.

My brother is getting ready to be deployed to go overseas and I know that they don't have much and just by doing this little bit for them will make a huge difference in their lives. It's an awesome idea Smile

I think that I have found a website that is what I have been looking for on this subject. www.OperationMilitarySupport.com Check it out and see what I am talking about. I will try to find other sites on this subject.

Don't they already do that with their own families/friends?

Not that it isn't a good idea...

You could look into sending them "care packages."
