I know that it may be confusing for you because some that you love, maybe your mom or dad, has gone off to war and you arent sure whether or not you'll ever see them again. The truth is that no one knows for sure and you can never really understand why bad things happen but they do. Hopefully it wont happen to you. Your loved one is a brave person for doing something so couragous for their country, and i have a lot of respect for them and for you, to be able to support and honor your family. There are alot of people out there right now pray for their safe return, just be glad that they are apart of something so just and sincere and know that there are people all around the country who support them and share your pain. Best wishes.

Even though you boys, and girls don't go to church every Sunday, doesn't mean that you can't pray for your mom, dad, uncle, anut, cousin,or whoever. If anyone in your family,(including the relatives you don't see that often,or second removed cousins) goes to war,PRAY!I don't even go to church hardly ever, but I'm praying for my Uncle Ron.He's having a real tough time with the war and divorce. My cousin Ryan almost went there. And since my family lives in a place majorly in military areas,my dad almost got called to help!I know how you kids and teens feel.I know you're probably saying I don't know crap because my parents or sibs did't get called.Well I do.My dad left me and sisters for 4 years,my Uncle Ron was like a dad to me those 4 years!I know.Take my advice...PRAY!From a friend with good advice. And I'm only 13! Smile

My prayers are with you as you wait for news of a parental figure. Every day my family waits on pins and needles to see if my father will soon be called in. Even though I pray that he doesn't have to go, I know what an honor it would be to have him representin' my country. It is an honor to be the child of any military man or woman and I know how proud you must be. Just remember that the people in Iraq need our support and you are just loaning them your parent. I know you'll enjoy having them back in your house again, but until then...there is always Someone you can talk to. (If you want some comforting words or just to vent...I'll be here.) Wink

I want to thank you for your courage. It takes courage to fill in the space left between what you want and what you get in life. Your Mom or Dad have that courage too. Duty, honor, country is glued together with courage. These are times when minuets take forever but the days go fast, and then your Mom or Dad will come home to you, who they love most in the world. They are the very best Americans and you are too.

God Bless you and watch over you and your parent.
Sincerely, Miss Jill

Hey! I'm writing to you to let you know that I'm really sorry that your parent/s had to go to war in order to defend freedom. Just remember to have faith and never fear anything. I understand that it may be hard not to fear anything but if you don't try, it will make you feel worse. Also remember that during these situations, we will hopefully see a peaceful ending. That's all I got to say. Hope these words encourage you. Smile

You have my deepest sympathy. How terrible it must be to have people you love going off to fight. I think that it is very brave of them though. Be strong, but it is ok to cry. When my dad goes away on trips, I always cry. My family is praying for you. Smile
