Hey there! I know it has to be very hard to have your parents leave and even harder when it's leaving to fight war. Remember though that your parent(s)are heroes. They are very giving and selfless people. You should be proud because they are out to help people they've never met and there aren't many people willing to do that, they are also fighting for their country. Your parents are some of the bravest people we have in our country and remember that because of them we get to live in an awesome place and have good lives and the ability to be who we are with out question and reach our goals no matter how much is against us all. We live in a beautiful country and your parent(s)help to keep it as great as it is. I know you may feel very lonely but when you do think of what great people your parents or other loved ones are and how brave they are, fill the emptiness with pride for them and remember how grateful civilians in iraq and the u.s. are to have the defending us all. you and your parents are in our prayers and God will watch over them all.

Hi. I know it must be real hard having a family member leave. I would say I know how you feel but I don't. I'm trying though. Hey I promise you that I will pray for you. if you are kinda sad or lonley or you just want to have fun we could become e-mail pen pals wouldn't that be cool? Try writing in a journal. Or doing something that is fun. Talk to a close friend or you can e-mail me. I'm twelve years old. My name is Alyssa. I wish you the best of luck and hopes. Hey, I'm Brittany from Texas and even though my parents have not gone to war I'm suffering with others. One of my friend's mom has gone to war, even though she doesn't seem too stressed she has told me that she is still worried. I told her "What ever happens it is all in God's hands, have faith in Him and just pray". That is what I do to calm my self since one of my cousin's has gone to war and he is a pilot.I have been taking it hard on myself, but I try to do things to support OUR troops.
P.S. Hope this helps a little!?

I would like to support you in this scary time. I will pray for you as you miss your parents and worry about them. I will also pray for peace and a swift end to this conflict.
Even though it might be difficult, try to do things that would make them proud of you now. Also take time for some fun. Play outside, read a good book, visit a friend.

I know what your going through my dad is in the United States Amry and has been for a long long time (before i was born) he had to go and fight in the gulf war in 1991! i was only 2 but he sent me tapes of him reading stories and we sent him a videa of me reading to him.. welll maybe you don't want to do that now(i was 2) but there are other ways you can keep in contact! just keep telling yourself that everything will be ok, and make sure you realizes your not alone! We are asationed in Stuttgart , Germany and it is scary but we are all in this together so whatever happpens just know people will be there for you!

To all the kids whose parents got shipped half way around the world to defend freedom....
Your all in my prayers. Continue to pray for peace and justice. I know it's unbelievably painful to have the people you love in harmful situations, but remember, they volunteered, and knew this was a possibility. Stay safe, and ask St. Michael the arc angel to defend us in battle! He will...

Dear child, As each day of this war passes your father/mother is out there fighting for the freedom of others. Life is precious, but so is freedom. Your father/mother is a hero. A hero for freedom. Think good things! Remember, when this is all done and over with, your father/mother will come home...a bigger hero. A hero who overcame an event that had to happen for the for the freedom of Iraqi people. You and your family will be in my prayers. God Bless America...and all the soldiars who are fighting.
