My dad is a retired veteran so I know what it is like to have a parent in another country, but my dad was never in a war so I can't imagine how scary that is. I pray for you, your family, and the safe return of your loved ones.

I realize that you are frightened and scared. Don't be. Your parents are only protecting and supporting America. Without people like your parents, America would be nothing: an unsafe, dark place. Keep your head high!

You guys should be so proud of your parents. Tell them that there are alot of prayers and support in the US, and I hope they all come home soon. Don't worry, everything will be all right. Your family members are fighting for our liberty and freedom...how much more honorable can you get? Smile We're in a pretty tough period in history, a period that isn't very peaceful. Don't beat yourself up about it, cuz this too shall pass in time. Your relatives love you so much and i know they miss you. But don't forget, they'll come back home as heroes and our nation will finally be that beautiful fairy-tale it once was.

My advice would be to try to do things to take your mind off of it,and yes i know that it's never going to fully be out of your head but it might help. Also don't forget that you need to talk about it weather it be with your mom [dad],or a guidence counsler. As long as you talk to someone about it.I'm sure it will help to get it off your chest. My thoughts and prayers are with you!

For those of you whose parent(s) are fighting the war in Iraq, remember, your parents are very brave. They are the heroes of our country! Also, don't keep your feeling kept up inside you; talk to a friend, an adult, a teacher, or a school counselor. They can and will help you think of ways to feel better. Maybe you could get involved in a sport or club to take your mind off things. But make sure you always remember that your parent(s) are the one(s) that make you and everyone else in the world feel safe in their beds at night.

Always remember that God is with you and he will always be there for you, through your worst and better times, you will always be able to talk to him. Know that your parents will always love you and America loves you and they are praying for you and your family. God Bless and our prayers are with you.

Anna

I know it's hard when your mom or dad is away at war. You probably want this war to end quickly, and, hopefully, it will. Until then, support your parent(s) while they help protect everyone in the USA! Don't forget to pray for their safety every night. Just remeber, it will be easier on everyone in your family if you continue with your life. Wink
