I know how hard it is to have you loved ones go away for such a long time and t such a scary place. My boyfriend is still in training right now but will be headed to Afghanistan in May for 18 monhs and I am so worried about him. i recently joinded the Army and still have yet to got through training. What you're parents/guardians are doing is such a wonderful thing. They have our utmost repect and love. God Bless our troops.

I can't immagine how hard it is to have a parent go away to fight for this country, but just know that you are not alone. Millions of kids feel the way you do and no matter what your parents will never ever stop loving you. Just remember how brave they are for taking a stand for this country. Keep your chin up, thing'll get better!

I know it isn't easy to wake up day after day, without your mom or dad around. I know its not fun not to have them take you to the movies, or to just talk to at night. I remember what it was like to be a navy brat, i remember my dad being gone for months at a time. I remember only having one parent to bug when i wanted to go somewhere, i remember only getting one answer usually a no, since my daddy wasn't home for me to bat my eyes at.

But everyday, even if it makes you sad, you know that parent is out their fighting for something bigger then we realize. Something we take for granted everyday, something we'd go crazy without. & thats our freedom. Just cause there not at home, doesn't mean they don't care, and we can even smile. Smile that smile of pride, miss them, but respect them.

Having a parent in the service, makes you a better person to ya know. It makes you strong, it makes you value family.. i really respect kids that have parents out their fighting for their country.

Hey everyone! Big Grin I just wanted first of all to ask you how school is going this year so far, for those who started in August. I know i just started at my new highschool and I love it! Wink I hope everyone has had fun so far and is looking forward to Winter Break! I know I am. I love the winter season, Christmas, and my birthday is near too. As well as asking how things are, I would just like to let you know all my appreciation to your parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, maybe grandparents, and friends. You know how every movie, book, or comic book especially, have heros? Well, you could say they're the Superman and Wonderwomen. Don't you think?! Roll Eyes Anyways, I hope you enjoy the rest of the school year, and most of all have fun! Razz
Sincerely,
Stephanie Garvey

Hello!
My name is Elena and I'm 14. I know how hard it must be having someone you love so far away. I know people in the war, and its not a safe feeling. This is just to say that the U.S. is doing everything in it's power to keep your families safe, and I hope that you guys can find the strength to keep on trucking, even though it might not be easy.
I know everything will turn out ok!

Hello! My name is Jen and I just wanted to let you know that you and your family are held in my highest regards. I know it is difficlut when you parent(s) cannot be home for the holidays. But, the holidays are all about remembering the sacrifices we make in the name of life and love. Your parent(s) has/have given up everything to keep our country safe. For that I am so very thankful, and pray that all of the troops make it home safe. You can drop me a line if you ever need to talk (jennylynnosu@hotmail.com) xoxo, Jen

Hey,
I don't know who's getting this right now, or what part of the world your in, but I just wanted to let you know that the effort of your parents is greatly appreciated, at least by one teenager in the world. Everyday, I wonder if they're okay, and I know they will be. Because if they but so much effort into keeping us safe, it's only right that they're regarded with utmost respect from whatever higher power you believe in, and they will be protected just like they are protecting us. I'm praying you have a great holiday, that you thank your lucky stars on Thanksgiving for such wonderful parents and keeping hoping for the best. You never know if your christmas present will show up at your front door as your mom or dad.
In loving care,
Alyssa
