Hello,
I hope you are doing ok. I know it has to be hard without having one of your parents there. You must be worried every day, you just have to remember that god is with your mother/father and is watching over them. They will return to you. They are helping other kids your age who were born into bad conditions. Atleast you are the person your parent has to leave behind for a few months not the person that needs to be rescued from such horrible conditions that they have been living in since they were born. Just keep your head high and keep a good attitude because the more positive you are the better you feel.

I'm a Canadian tennager and may not know what it's like to have parents in Iraq, but I know how it feels to be worried about how our parents will be. Whatever you do never give the good fight up. Act as if everything is okay and keep your chin up and smile! Wink

Hi,
It came to my concern. And I just wanted to let all the children out there who have people who really mean a lot in their lives, risking their lives to save our country. I know how it must feel to have the person you love go away and maybe not have the chance to come back. I know, my uncle and his wife (my aunt) are both serving in the Marines and have a little boy the age of 2 (well almost) and it worries me if my cousin will have the chance to see his mom again since she was sent out there. So I would like to tell everyone to not worry and just keep them in your prayers and if you believe this will all go good and you will once again be embraced in your loved one's arms. I send my prayers to all of you who read this. God Bless and hope for the best.
Love always,
a new friend

I know what you are going through. My dad was in the first Gulf War. I know It's hard because you don't know if they are all right or not. I can remember hearing about troops getting killed and wondering if my dad was one of them. If you need to chat hit me back.

Thanks for giving up your parent(s) for a little while so that he/she could go out and fight for our country everyday. In my opinion they are real heroes. And so are you. You guys have your own emotions and everyday experiences to fight with. Life as a teenager can be hard enough, then add in everything you have to deal with, and it's truly amazing. Hang in there when times are tough and know that your parent(s) and you yourself are supported everyday. Smile

Dear Friend,
I can only imagine what it is like to know that my parent is out on the front line. And I can only wish that one day I will be as brave as they are.

Hi, I just want to tell all of you kids who have family members in Iraq, That I'm praying for thier safe return. I have a friend who's Brother is in Iraq right now...and I myself had a cousin there too! My brother joined the army in Jan. 2003, and I thought for sure that he was going to be sent off to Iraq, but I thank God that He didn't go! God called your family members to go there to fight unto the glory of him! God is there for you and your family members, you just have to remember that God is there waiting for your prayers. Last two things I want to say is that I will be praying for all of you, and as my mom and I always say "Believe in God and all his wonder!"
~*~*~May God Bless You All~*~*~ Smile Smile

I'm sitting at home listening to news about the war in Iraq. Kids of soldiers please listen: You should be proud it's your parent who's making a difference in the world. I send best wishes that all of your parents return safely. You are not alone. If they die remember they died saving their country. you are all in my prayers
