What if one or both of your parents got sent off to war...indefinitely?

Where would you live? Who would take care of you? How would you know if your parents are OK?

This is a reality for hundreds of thousands of kids all across the country.

Post a message of support to kids dealing with this.

YouthNOISE will deliver your messages of support to kids whose parents are in the military and have been sent off to fight the war in Iraq.

My dad was stationed in Iraq for a year and a half. It (obviously) sucked. The Army is supposed to help families out by organizing events for the troops families, they are supposed to call your house and see how you are coping, they are supposed to send you information on how to deal with a parent and husban/wife being gone for such a long time. THey do none of this. All talk no action. They did try to plan one event but they wanted it held in Oregon ( Im from Wisconsin). why on earth would my family travle to Oregon for a picnic? The army is doing nothing to help families let alone the troops. It is a freakin numbers game to them and thats all. Its up to us.

To all those whose parents, brothers, sisters, and friends are serving our country, keeping us safe and free...thank you for sacrificing school plays shared with loved ones, weekends, holidays, one-on-one talks and time spent together. Please know that your sacrifice is appreciated just as much as your loved one who is serving in our armed forces. May God bless you and all you hold dear forever.

Your parents are heros. I respect them tremendously for defending our country in a time like this. You should be proud of having such courageous parents, I know I am. It is because of people like you and your parents, America is able to be so strong today. The sacrafices both you and your parents have made are incredible and will not go forgotten. I thank you for defending our country. God Bless You All. Smile

To all of you that have had or have someone serving in the army marines navy airforce or any other branch of the military // national guard;; know that i am here with you. My friends are all stationed over seas now and its really sad missing them. My boyfriend was about to sign the papers and he decided he would rather be here with me raising our kid. Prayers and heart are with you. =].

hey,
I would say i know what its like to be going through what you are going through, but that wouldnt be true, so i just wanted to say, you may seem alone, and feel like you were left by your parents, but believe it or not, you will always have God, and he will help you through it all, if you just put your trust in Him, so just grab a bible and start reading!! you may think its stupid, but i didnt have my father growing up, and yeah it was hard, but it'll be ok, no matter what you go through, it may seem like now your life is ruined, but trust me it's not!!! God will help you, He loves you.....just as your parents do, they think of you every day, despite what you think...they love you sooo much!!!!!!! Just hang in there....k???
love Julia
ps...you should be very proud of your parents for fighting for our country!!!!

This topic always makes me sad beyond words.

There will one day spring from the brain of science a machine or force so fearful in its potentialities, so absolutely terrifying, that even man, the fighter, who will dare torture and death in order to inflict torture and death, will be appalled, and so

Hi,
I know that it is probably hard to go through having one or both of your parents in the military and it is even harder if they are stationed over seas and you can not see them or talk to them that often. I fell so bad for all of you that are suffering with this.
Sincerely, Jordan
