Well...I DID pierce my lip again.

I don't have my tongue pierced ...but I do have a little bit of advice. I once had a roommate who pierced her tongue...for several days no one could understand her when she spoke, and her tongue had a slight infection. I don't want to gross anyone out with graphic details, but I'll just say that her tongue was swollen, and dead skin was peeling off. She never went to the doctor, instead she just kept ice in her mouth and took lots of pain relievers. If anyone gets a piercing, and anything like this happens to you...just go to the doctor. Make sure the person who pierces it for you knows what they are doing, and that everything is sanitary. Also you need to use this special mouthwash everyday.

um yea with tongue piercings when you're younger it may seem cool, but in actuality it's not all that great. I once thought about it and my mom told me, "you think about it until you're 18 and if you still want it, you get it on your own free will."

So i thought about it off and on until i was 18. I noticed girls that had tongue piercings and guys as well. I even had a boyfriend with a tongue piercing.

I then came to the conclusion that tongue piercings are skanky. No ifs, and or buts, about it. Many people will agree with me on this that its not as great as you think. It could make you look worse.

I should get a tongue piercing.

Most likely, I will get a scare sh itless response from my mom, siblings and boyfriend.

Nah, I am trying to take a new leap and not do things that shocks everyone.

I don't think that I am that bad and I don't see what is so bad about tongue piercings.

I can't do it, I already have enough metal in my month from my braces.

I could always get my "yin yang" pierced!!! That would be interesting.

I have heard that soo much. Just not the get drunk before you get it done part.

I had my cartilage pierced and my mom tried to rip it out.

So as you can tell, I took it out willingly. It hurts by the way, so take a tylenol or get drunk before you get it done.

I want to get my cartilege peirced but my mom won't let me.

Never going to pierce my tongue. But maybe my lip...again.

I HAVE 55 PIERCINGS:13 IN EACH EAR,THREE ON MY EYEBROW, TWO BETWEEN MY EYES ON MY NOSE, THREE ON MY NOSE, FIVE ON MY LIP, TWO ON MY TONGUE THREE ON MY RIGHT NIPPLE, TWO ON MY LEFT NIPPLE, FIVE ON THE SKIN BETWEEN MY POINTER FINGER AND MY THUMB, two on my belly button AND two "DOWN THERE" and ive never had any troubles with them except for when i had my children. then i had to take out my nipple rings, belly button rings and the two down there but otherwise that i was fine. ive never had an infection and ive had them all since i was 14(now 16).so if you have any questions, e mail me at straightedge9992003@yahoo.com

I'm and guy and I really want either a tongue or eyebrow piercing but I'm not getting either until college. My family would murder me, haha.

Let's see..I am 14 and I got my tongue pierced already and let's see.. the speech impedimant thing is completley ubserd because i only had trouble talking during the healing process! and now i can talk like i don't even have one.. maybe with someone people they say a word or 2 kinda funny..but omg how big of a deal is that? all these health places are full of crap, if they got their tongues pierced they would know and yes if you wear a "longer" barbell you have chances of chipping teath while you are eating! and ya know what.. people RARELY die from tongue piercings.. people need to get facts right! but if you want your tongue pierced.. go for it. who cares what people say? (health departments ahem ahem) they are all full of crap only about 5% of the stuff they say is like, mostly true.. and you don't have to be 18 either.. just get your parents to sign for you i have 8 piercings already. though maybe in some states that have a different law but i don't know. Just plain and simple tongue piercings are NOT that dangerous.
