Rather random, but here we go anyways...
Have you ever had a teacher that made you think, "How'd THEY ever become a teacher?" You know, one who just isn't very smart, doesn't know their subject, or is smart but doesn't know how to teach very well?

Hm my teachers have been ok.
There was one that the our whole class wrote a petition about. I swear she was over 90. She's ye old bitch! Nasty as hell. Another teacher at the school was having a conversation with her and she was saying how loud and rude i was, and the teacher said "Are we talking about the right person? Because she's quiet and constructive, and i don't think you should be talking about students like this"
LMAOOOO. I swear funniest thing i've ever heard. Somebody started a petition about her, then she picked up her act a bit. But i still hear bad stories about her.

One teacher we have is mentally retarded, im not trying to be mean and i'm not joking, but she just doesn't understand anything that goes on at all. It's kinda sad. Why they still keep her, i do not know.

However, i did have on extremely opinionated teacher once. Not one lesson without a mention of his own political beliefs but god he was fun to listen to. If you ever tried to debate him he could just wreck you so bad. Hehehe he's deff the best teacher i ever had, i felt i had more freedom to write what i wanted on my essays which is always a good thing.

Haha, I had a teacher just like that in junior high. Her husband was the librarian and he used to bring in bags from taco bell for her in the middle of our class. She wasn't nice though, so nobody really felt bad ripping on her. I remember somebody was having a bake drive one time and she had the cookies up at her desk and was asking anyone if they wanted to buy any because she was going to buy the rest of them for herself. The way she was eyeing those things, nobody wanted to ask to buy any.

I remember last year I had a math teacher that would give out quizzes or tests, and the kids would text message each other for the answers. Also, sometimes she would put the answer sheet on her desk, and the kids would be looking at it.

Those who can do, those who can't teach.

Yeah, teachers are normally really dumb. Some of the teachers I remember were so brain-dead or so stupid it was startling.

I had this one teacher back in grade 6.
I was like 15 minutes late to her class, and every one is doing work already. As I walked in, she was eating a big-mac from micky-ds. She had the burger, fries and the soda all on her desk.

I mean, I understand peple gotta eat, but this wasn't the only time it happened. She eat probably more then she taught us. The teacher was nice person, but boy, did she eat.

It was one of those classes that you just chatted with friends with, rather then learn much. I have no idea how she became a teacher.

This board is like, dead, yet still I type. In sixth grade, I had a very weird teacher. On the first day of school, like, a third of the class was already inside just milling around, and the bell rang, so the rest of the class came inside, and she said "That is not the way we enter my classroom. Everyone go back outside!" which was weird, because the noise level was down to a dull hummish-type thing. And then she gave us doughnuts. And when we were doing little projects about this book that the class read together, (The Cay) I made a carving of a cat, and I got a bunch of A's and one B instead of straight A's because she didn't even ask who's it was. (She told us to just put any other things on the counter). Once we were having a discussion about abortion, and it was REALLY biased, because the teacher and the two loudest students in the class all agree, like, exactly on it. But anyway, she told us SIXTH GRADERS (we were the G.A.T.E. class, woo hoo...) that she had gotten an abortion. A bunch of parents had enough sense to realize that she shouldn't have done that, and a bunch of different people started observing in the back of our class, but when anyone else was around, she would totally suck up to us, but when they were gone, she would yell at us all the time. Later on in the year, we were doing a simulation of Greece, and to "play the part of Greek citizens," the girls always had to walk behind a guy when she entered the classroom, and if she was alone, she had to walk outside and walk back in with him. A bunch of people thought that this was stupid, but then we found out that not only did we have to wait for a guy to accompany us into the room EVERY TIME, we had to clean up the classroom every day while the guys just sat there, instead of normally when we ALL would just mill around and pretend to clean up. The first day that we did this everything was okayish, since it wasn't really being enforced, (the cleaning thing, we still had to do the stupid entering thing,) but the next day, all hell broke loose. The girls were just hanging out like usual, but then our teacher said "Come on, ladies, we're still in Greece, time to clean up!" and then she was totally oblivious as some of the guys were throwing erasers on the floor and saying "Clean it up, woman!". The next day we stopped doing the simulation because there had been a formal complaint filed about it, (Yay, Shelly!) and everyone was mad because for some bizarre reason they liked the simulation, and we had a big, unproductive discussion about it while one of the main guys being jerks was gone to Reno or somewhere for a baseball thing, and we started doing a play. it was extremly stupid. Stupider than Spongebob Squarepants. And my teacher claimed it was informative. They totally messed with Greek mythology, so I decided ont to do it, and my teacher got all p*ssed off and said that I could read the chapter in our history book, which was fun and really short, and then I didn't even have to take the test. And everyone was acyting like they were having more fun than me, but they were just reciting badly-written lines while I learned about how awesome Pericles was and direct democracies and all that jazz. It was weird.
That was long.

I've had some pretty bad teachers. But as of right now, the worst weren't the ones that were incompetent or didn't know their subject. I still had some hope for them. The worst were the ones that were condescending and arrogant. I can get over stupid people, I know lots, but people that treat me like I don't know anything because I'm 16 or because I'm their student really **** me off. Because then when you correct them where they're wrong or have misjudged something, they get so high and mighty and get pissed at you. I have a teacher like that right now and because of something I did at the beginning of the year, he completely disregards everything I say. That is much worse that just having some one a little on the uninformed side.

Wow...I have had MANYMANYMANY not-so-good teachers.

Last year, I had a technology teacher who was amazingly boring. he would spend most of the class talking about random things and explaining simple things over and over, giving us maybe 20 minutes to finish some project which he hadn't explained. Once in a while he would totally lose his temper. Once a guy was playing with this piece of metal, kind of bending it, and the teacher saw and just exploded! "You know what? Now that you've bent this it's ruined! It can't be used anymore! We don't have enough money for everyone to ruin these! It's ruined for good now!" After yeslling all this, he threw it across the room. Another time, he picked up and threw his CHAIR. Yes, his CHAIR.

My French teacher this year is actually a German teacher...he took maybe a year of French in college and has the worst accent in the world! He always forgets what he's taught us, goes off on tangents about random things, assumes we've learned things we haven't....
He yelled at some girl cause she couldnt find the page in her notebook where we did something the week before. I asked if we would ever get a chance to switch our seats, and he asked why i wanted to. I said to see different people and he asked why it would matter if we were paying attention and not talking. (There is no point in paying attention-I either do other homework, skip, or read, and still have at least an A)

hmmm...all of my teachers have been great so far.

Well...now that I come to think about it, there was this one substitute teacher. She was about 70 years old. She was alright and funny, but a little wacko. She kept saying that she would nail your a$$ to the wall if you didn't do what she asked and that she wasn't too old to be capable of kicking your behind and giving you a good beating. One time this kid took too long in the bathroom. She was like "Did you get stuck to the toilet sit?!! Why did you take so long...If you try to lie to me, I'll nail your a$$ to the wall!!! I'm not too old to beat you up with this!"*holds up her cane*
Yup...goood times, good times...

That's kind of funky. My teachers don't do that. If they did I'd get lost. Somebody would be sitting in my seat. The horror.

Yeah, I've noticed that, too. I've had teachers who don't assign seats, then tell you to move about cause you're always in the same seats.

You know what I've noticed about not having assigned seating? You sit in the same seats everyday anyway.
