Its their bedtime they consitently say we should follow. Were teenagers, dont wanna be told when to go to bed... "Ok mom, let me go to bed at 9 for you...even though im not tired and this is my body" you cant tell my body what to do or when to sleep.

Parents are great they cook you dinner, pay bills, put a roof over your head.

My parents were far from perfect but they provided the basics I needed to survive. Wait until you live on your own and realize how much living actually costs.

I know that helps little now when you're still caught up in the teenage "angst" of thinking the world is against you and that your parents are making your life difficult just because they're power hungry.

Most of the time parents are looking out for the best for their kids, and even though their rules seem crazy and unreasonable they're just doing their best to keep you safe and or make sure you grow up to be a responsible citizen who respects and cleans up after themselves.

You'll thank them later.

Don't criticize something unless you fully understand it. And few teens will ever fully understand what it's like to be a parent. Unless they are one, that is.

Your parents tell you when to go to bed, not because they care if you're sleepy or not, it's because THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO RACK UP A HUGE ELECTRICITY BILL. Electricity is expensive, fool.

The whole point of having rules, is to give children structure and discipline. You're just being a spoiled little brat. Who paid for the computer you're using, who paid for internet access, who paid for the warm home you live in, the bed you sleep on, who pays for your food, the electricity you use, the water you use, etc? The same people who only ask you to do simple tasks, such as going to bed early and doing a few chores around the house in return. Did you ever stop to think that maybe that's why your mom doesn't think you appreciate her? Because you can't wash a damn dish?

My mom works from 7am to 4:30pm and when she asks me to clean, I do it. I do it even when she doesn't ask. Because she works her ass off to pay for the things that I don't need. The very least I can do is let her relax when she gets home from work.

So, you're wrong, it is you. It's you 110%. Your mom needs to throw you out onto the streets so you can see just how good you have it, you spoiled child you. Now go clean your room.
