The town next to mine recently imposed a mandatory curfew on people under the age of 16. Kids aged 15 and under caught outside after 10 pm, as well as their parents, would be issued a $50 fine for a first offence, and upwards from then on... Even businesses who let kids stay past the curfew would be fined. The town has a problem with drugs and crime.. somehow they think this will help. What do you guys think? http://www.timesargus.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20...02210353/1002/NEWS01

Some cities (like mine) even have a curfew for all those under eighteen, and that's truly ridiculous. You can drive and work, but just don't do either after midnight! As others have said, I see the logic in a curfew to an extent. But really, to impose it on people much over 15 just seems stupid. There's high schools with night classes in this city that I'm pretty sure people under 18 can't legally attend. The other thing that always pissed me off when I was under 18 was the morning end of the restriction. The curfew ended at 5 a.m., which was after dawn in the summers. I used to love to go for dawn summer walks, but I was technically breaking the law. So much stupidity.
And then, as the books were told, Fina replied: "A can of worms, my dear friend? What has this to do with reason?"

Hmm...my city has a curfew, but they don't really enforce it. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but it definetely doesn't help. For example, if I'm at the movies with my friends, and we're waiting for our ride home and it's after 10:00, security will make us go outside {even if it's -20 degrees or it's a lightning storm, or whatever}. That's all they're required to do, and it doesn't cut the crime rate. People are always one the streets at night, and the police don't do anything about it. I think if it were enforced, it might be a good thing, especially, like Otto said, in a crime ridden area.
And I would never feel pain / and never be without pleasure, ever, again / and if the reign stops, and everything's dry, he would cry just so I could drink the tears from his eyes...

I belive a curfew will cut down on crime. Especialy since its in a crime ridden area. But it will only be a dent in the whole problem.
I fought the law and the law won.
