Do any of your folks have a strict rule about shoes coming off at the door? No shoes are allowed in our house, even if it's someone coming in to install a kitchen appliance, lol.

I wouldn't mind having to be barefoot or in socks if the tile on the floor didn't get so chilly.

When we first moved into our house, my parents were strict about the shoes because the house was new. Now they're strict about it because they want the house to always seem new o.O

I like to not wear shoes in my house. I don't really care for shoes that much, but I'll always wear socks at my house. But then, we don't have that rule. When people come and visit and ask yes, or no, we say, "Don't care. Whichever you prefer." But you shouldn't be annoyed when people ask you to do it. Maybe they just got their carpets replaced or something. You never know.

I always used to hate my mom's strict "no shoes in the house" rule and I'd sneak past her with them on... but now that I have my own place and am the one cleaning the floors up, I think shoes are evil too!

I've always wanted to play soccer, it looks like fun! But I don't get to do any sports 'cause I'm home schooled...

My feet are about size 6-6 1/2. I'm 5'3" tall. My soccer cleats though were size 5. *sigh* I miss soccer.

We have a no shoes rule but it's not super strict, especially in the winter 'cause there's no dirt to track in. But then we have animals so it kinda defeats the purpose but oh well....

I am mostly barefoot and I'm everywhere in my house. I do like to sit on the floor a lot but mostly in my room. The living room has no carpet, and it's cold during winter. I think my feet are big for a girl, but then again I'm 5'8 and so I guess they are a normal size for my height.

Size 12 is average for a guy my height, but I don't know many people who are as tall as me. I didn't think being 6'1" was that odd, but apparently it is around here. I live in town of short people with tiny feet.

I have a follow-up question mostly for the people who DO wear shoes in the house. How much do you sit on the floor? Like I am always sitting or laying on the floor and because of that, I never wear my dirty shoes on it...because that would just be gross. So everyone else?

Size 12 shoes are big? What? I guess I have monster feet then. I always thought that 12-13 was normal. I can never find shoes in that size, I assumed they're always bought out...

I'm always barefoot at home, even though it is not required at my house. Actually mom thinks I should wear shoes more often, so I wont get sick.

Even when I take my shoes off, I still leave my socks on. I hate walking around barefoot...unless it's in deep pile carpet. Anyways, I don't wear my shoes all the time and I don't mind being asked to take them off. Heh, I actually prefer it at times. My shoes are so big that I feel really clumsy inside if I leave them on. That's one of the disadvantages of wearing size 12 shoes. Clown shoes, as my girlfriend says. Understandable, considering her shoes can actually fit inside mine...

The anti-shoe folks make me angry. Whenever I go into a house and am ordered to take my shoes off, I do it, but I resent it. I just like the way shoes feel -- I keep mine on all day from when I get up in the morning to when I go to bed.
