You ought to see how cluttered with shoes the hallway by the side door gets when all the relatives and their kids come over our house for Christmas or Thanksgiving, lol.

Haha...this struck me as funny...I don't know why.

Well, we took our shoes off in the "boot room" cause well, where I lived we had hardly any pavement and it was easy to track in mud - or sawdust.

It's the whole "oh, you don't need to take your shoes off!" and "oh, our floors are really gross, don't worry about taking them off."

People actually tell you not to take your shoes off? Do you have real smelly socks or something? lol
Seriously, I can't stand wearing shoes either. I think people who wear shoes indoors look retarded, like they don't know where they are. Still, most people I know don't ask every plumber or encyclopedia salesman to take them off, but my folks do.

We always take our shoes off when we get home. We have a laundry room/mud room between our garage and our family room, and we take off our shoes in there. Mind you, I don't like wearing shoes. I take them off at people's houses, even when they insist I leave them on. Usually we don't insist people take off their shoes... (my dad manages this huge carpet cleaning company, so we can get ours cleaned for free...) If you think about it though, why would you want all the dirty disgustingness from the outside that is all over the bottom of your shoes on your floors? (I sit on my floor all the time...maybe I'm just weird like that...)
