actually there is a 3 year issue here. Because you are 3 yours younger than him then he can get arrested on rape if you do anything (by your parents) if you are only 3 years younger than him you can actually say that it is consensual and he wont get in trouble for it. but also know that because you are 14 it makes things even more sticky. because that is like the borderline for harsher punishment.
i wouldn't worry about it honestly, i mean nless you leak it out that your dating someone and have a sexual relationship with him then i would be concerned, but if you don't let people know it should be fine, i mean i'm 15 and i'm dating a 23 year old and he hasn't gotten in trouble, and i don't think he will anytime soon. hope that helps

There are no laws (that I am aware of anyway) against an adult dating a minor. This means you could have a 70 year old man dating a 9 year old girl and the law wouldn't really get to say anything about it...that is as long as there's no sexual relations of any kind.

the intresting thing about the sex law is, if it's willing even if it's illegal how in the hell are you going to get caught? No, not at all. I know loads of people who are dating people older then them-similar to your situation. He could get in trouble if you guys are having sex, but other then that nothing can be done, especially with parential consent.
