I don't have many piercings but I want more. I have two on my earlobe and one on my cartliage but I'm getting my belly button done and a second cartliage done in June. My parent's are pretty cool with that stuff.

I was simply trying to say that I don't understand the frustration of parent's not letting children pierce or tatoo, but it's probably just me.

I just get a chuckle... you might think it's a great idea now, wait till you turn like 30 or 40 and you start to have it all streached out and looking nasty.

I have 5 ear piercings. I plan on getting my lip done on the left side when I turn 15 and a tattoo when Im 16. Ive thought about this long and hard, and my parents are finally begining to give way. Parents dislike them for different reasons. Mine dont because I am very rebellious and they see it as me drifting farther. Others dont like them becuase of the public image attached, and think it will reflect badly on them. I personally really dislike belly button rings, but it is your choice. Howver, because adult consent is necessary, your parents get the ultimate decision. Theres not much you can do if they are firm on this, but try to convince them you know what you want, and that in the long run this is a very small detail. If that doesnt work, either a)pierce it yourself (Ive done it, successfully many times to myself and others but I REALLY dont recommend it) or b) just wait. Eventually it will be your decision, and you can just be like "heh heh. na na na boo boo." (im immature but im loving it Smile )

I think one reason that parents don't like piercings and tatoos is that in their generation, it was a sign of rebellion, of going the wrong way in life, or being a rebel. They care about us and want us to have a good life, so they don't want us to make the same mistakes they made. I think tatoos are pointless, because when you're older, they look so nasty, but if someone gets one, I'm not going to be all like, "Oh, well, now I can't hang out with you!" or anything like that. I myself have an earring in each ear and want to get a second in each, but my dad won't let me until I move out, so when I go to college, I'll get it done. My belief is just that you shouldn't let your beauty depend entirely on what's outside, but make sure your 'tude is in check.

I have single ear peircings. One on each ear. I'm not allowed to get more, and my brothers aren't allowed to get any. We don't complain, because it's religiously dictated, and we're all really strongly believing in our religion. Same with tatoos.

I got my first ear piercing in 3rd grade with my identical twin Sierra...we just got a hole on each side. Then when we were in 7th grade we got our ears pierced again and our bellybuttons. Then in 8th grade we got our 3rd hole in each ear. Later that year I went back and got a cartilage piercing at teh top of my left ear with my friend Steffani. I don't see the big deal...then again my parents weren't around to raise us and nannies don't give a **** what you do to yourself...as for tattoos I stick with the ones that last for 3 months and then fade...I never want something permanent b/c I change my mind so much.

whats the purpose of a tongue ring? Some girls (and guys) at my school have them, and it seems so hard to eat...and, just to let you know worthwaitingfor, they burn a huge hole in your tongue so they can put the ring in...I dont know about you, but it doesnt seem worth it to me.

I want my lip pierced and my ears a second time. I sorta want my tongue but I'm too much of a chicken so I probably want get that.

And I just want one tattoo on the back of my right shoulder. Nothing outlandish, just one tattoo that can be hidden if necessary.

But my boyfriend doesn't even go for that much. I'll probably do it anyways.

I have 3 pairs of ear piercings, a nipple ring, and a horizontal clitoral hood ring. I payed for it all myself after I moved out of my parents' house. You do live under their roof. And if you want to know what their beef is, I guess you should ask them.

My point is if you use the English language incorrectly, it is much harder to make your point. So it would be much easier just to use correct grammar, and spelling as well, in your case.
